Professional Background

Doug is a recent graduate of the Master of Social Work program at Northern Michigan University and a longtime member of the Marquette community. His first career was in the fitness industry, where he helped clients integrate movement, nutrition, stress management, and sleep hygiene to support overall wellbeing.

His clinical experience includes working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma-related symptoms. Doug brings a whole-person approach to therapy, with a particular passion for supporting those managing short-term and chronic pain.

Drawing from his own experience with injury and pain recovery, Doug integrates evidence-based tools such as Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy when appropriate. He combines his background in physiology with training in trauma-informed care, music therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Jungian-inspired psychodynamic therapy to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs.
